Resolved Question: Big date tomorrow night. Woman from down south... tips?

Hi every, Have a date tomorrow with a lady from NC. Met her at a party a few weeks back where we made out... our schedules finally gelled and tomorrow is the official 1st date. I have it in my head that I gotta exemplify some of the southern qualities she might like. (I'm an NYC boy). When we met I had a beard and was dressed down i jeans and a polo... When we go out tomorrow (to a bar), any tips on drink selection and/or apparel to rock?

Resolved Question: Can you answer these hockey questions to waste some time???!!!???

1) If played for a specific NHL team, would you wear their logo apparel during your off time? What about wearing your possess jersey to go grocery shopping? 2) If they televised a game between the east conference scouts and the western conference scouts, would ratings in Canada be better than a Thrashers vs. Detroit game? Which scouts would win? 3)You find the man/lady of your dreams. You guys go to “meet the parents”, and His/her dad answers the door wearing a shirt that says, “I still adore Alan Eagleson.” Do you instantly start questioning your relationship? 4)Coaches and players that are verbally improper when speaking of others in the NHL can be fined. If a player or coach were to use sign-language when replying to the media to say how they really feel about a specific referee, do you think that he could be fined? 5) When watching a reg. season game on TV, what do you do immediately after the game is over?

Doesn't the bible's view of women seem outdated? Resolved Question: Bible contradiction?

matthew 28:2 And behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven and came and rolled back the rock, and sat upon it. 28:3 His appearance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow. 28:4 And for fear of him the guards trembled and became like dead men. 28:5 But the angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid; for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. luke 24:1 But on the first day of the week, at early dawn, they went to the tomb, taking the spices which they had prepared. 24:2 And they found the rock rolled away from the tomb, 24:3 but when they went in they did not find the body. 24:4 While they were perplexed about this, behold, two men stood by them in dazzling apparel; In matthew the lady look the rock rolled away because the angel tells them not to be afraid. in luke the rock has already been moved before they arrived and they don't look an angel until they go inside the tomb. Resolved Question: Jehovah's Witness's Is this true?

According to Jehovah's Witness' theology, God is a single person, not a Trinity, who does not know every things and is not everywhere. He first created Michael the Archangel through whom He created every "other things," including the universe, the earth, Adam and Eve, etc. This creative work took God 42,000 years. At one point, The Watchtower Bible and Tract Society taught that God ruled the universe from somewhere in the Pleiades star system. They have since modified this to say that the "Pleiades can no longer be considered the middle of the universe and it would be unwise for us to try to fix God's throne as being at a particular spot in the universe."1 Such changes and even contradictions in teaching are frequent in the Watchtower organization and when a doctrine changes, they tell their followers that the light of truth is getting brighter. After Adam sinned, the paradise which God had created for them, was ruined. So, God instituted a system of redemption which was revealed in the Bible and would ultimately guide to the crucifixion of Jesus the messiah. But, in the meantime, God needed to have a visible, theocratic organization on earth to accurately represent Him. Throughout history, this true organization had a remnant of faithful Jehovah's Witnesses (Noah, Abraham, Moses, David, etc.) but it wasn't until the tardy 1800's that Charles Taze Russell formerly began what is now known as the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society which is run out of Brooklyn, New York. This organization claims to be the only true channel of God's truth on earth today and that it alone can properly interpret God's word since it is the angel directed, prophet of God on earth. When it came time for the savior to be born, Michael the Archangel became a human, in the form of Jesus. Jesus grew and kept every the laws of God and never sinned. Finally, when Jesus died, it was not on a cross, but on a torture stake, where he bore the sins of mankind -- but this did not include Adam's sins. Jesus rose from the dead as a spirit, not physically (his body was dissolved and taken by God) and during his visitations to people on earth, he manifested a temporary physical body for them to look and touch. Thus began the true Christian church of Jehovah's followers. Throughout history there have been faithful Jehovah's witnesses who have managed to keep The Truth in spite of the "demonic" doctrine of Trinitarianism that has permeated the Christian church in "Christendom." Christendom is filled with pastors who are antichrists, in churches run by Satan, and who support the earthly governments which are every of the devil. In other words, every of Christianity is untrue and only the Jehovah's Witness "theocratic" organization guide by several men in Brooklyn, New York, is true. In the tardy 1800's, a young man of 18 years, by the name of Charles Taze Russell, organized a Bible class in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In 1879 he sought to popularize his ideas on doctrine so he co-published The Herald of the Morning magazine with its founder, N. H. Barbour and by 1884 Russell controlled the publication and renamed it The Watchtower Announcing Jehovah's Kingdom, and founded Zion's Watch Tower Tract Society (now known as the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society). Russell served as the teacher and guide for the organization which taught that Jesus returned invisibly in 1914 and is now reigning in heaven. When Jesus finally returns physical to earth, which will happen at the time of the Battle of Armageddon, He will set up his earthly 1000 year kingdom. During this 1000 year period, people will be resurrected and have a second chance to receive eternal salvation by following the principles of Jehovah's Organization on earth known as the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society. After the millennium, those who reject God and His organization will be annihilated; that is, they will cease to exist. The relax of the Jehovah's Witness who have faithfully followed God's organization on earth will be saved from eternal annihilation and reside forever on Paradise earth. Heaven, however, is a place for a special group of 144,000 Jehovah's Witnesses -- the only ones who are "born again" and who alone are allowed to take communion in their annual communion service. These are the ones who have "immortal life," every other Witnesses have "everlasting life." Those with immortal life do not have resurrected bodies. They have "spirit bodies." Those on Paradise Earth have everlasting life and consists of a resurrected body that must be maintained through eating, relax, etc. When you study with the Jehovah's Witness, you agree to attend five meetings a week where you are taught from Watchtower literature. You cannot be baptized until you have studied their material for at least six months and have answered numerous questions before a panel of elders. Men are not supposed have long hair or wear beards and women are to dress in modest apparel. They refuse to vote, salute the flag, sing the "Star Spangled Banner, celebrate birthdays or Christmas, won't take blood transfusions, and they can't join the armed forces. A schedule of door-to-door canvassing is required where you distribute the Watchtower literature, acquire donations, and forward every monies to the headquarters in Brooklyn, New York. If you ever leave the Jehovah's Witness organization, you are considered an apostate and are to be shunned.

Resolved Question: Can you make me a back-to-school outfit?

Usually I wear plain shorts and a slightly patterned top, but I don't wear bright colors or converse or excessively patterned things. Resolved Question: Do you believe in modest clothing for Christian women?

The Biblical mandate for women’s clothing could not be more clear, 1Timothy 2:9 tells us “In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with braided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array”; In modern terminology this could be interpreted as plain and inexpensive. Christian women are not to conform to the styles of the world, but rather be different from others in the world as stated in Titus 2:14 “Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from every iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.” This means that we should not blend in with the crowd, that anyone should be able to identify us as unique by our manner and style of dress.

Resolved Question: Why do the majority of modern Christians, if the Bible is trule, not follow the NT proscriptions for propriety

I know some Christians do, especially where I live, where there are many Plain people. What I do not understand is why the majority of Christians do not, if their Bible is inerrant. And if the admonitions are cultural, then who gets to decide which is cultural and which is not? 1 Tim. 2:9-10 in like manner also, that the women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with propriety and moderation, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or costly clothing, but, which is proper for women professing godliness, with good works. I have seen many Christian women with gold and pearls, and no tiny number with braided hair. I Cor. 11 says that a lady must have her head covered while she prays or prophesies, and then goes on to say that a lady must not have a shaved head or short hair, and a man should not have long hair. If these are cultural, then how do you draw the line between what is cultural and what is not? Feel free to express your opinions, I don't give out thumbs down.

Resolved Question: What ever happened to elegance and class?

Did it receive replaces by skankiness and trash? It seems as if modesty in a lady's appearance is a thing of the past. Sometimes its not even by choice. My wife has a difficult time finding modest apparel. The options out there are few. store online for modest clothing and you'll find out dated "little home on the prairie style" clothing. We went to Old Navy and Target. Maybe they only have things according to what neighborhood you are in. those are some great links by the way mommy_2. My wife is also 25. Anthony C ...Of what I've seen women wearing to church...I don't think my wife would use as everyday wear. Thats more dressy.

Resolved Question: I only attract this type of girl, and it's killing me...?

generally slightly younger than me, "emo" tendecies, nice of bitter (bitch about popular girls as often as possible, etc.), tend to wear nothing but Nightmare Before Christmas apparel and pink/black striped jumpers, seem to think I want to talk to them about stuff like Naruto and Kingdom Hearts when I don't really have the faintest opinions on either, just keep talking and talking when everyone else is bored rigid (much like I'm doing now XD...) You know the type... But yeah... people are forever saying that I just need to "open my mind"- they say that I am being narrow-minded, assuming that there will be a perfect lady when I should just accept that every girls have flaws. They miss the point a little, in that it's not that I'm narrow-minded really, but rather that these are the ONLY types of girls I seem to be able to attract, and they are- to be fair to myself- the exact opposite of those I would LIKE to attract. You know... What is wrong with me...? ... I'm probably just morbidly, hopelessly unattarctive, huh? Yeah... Oh... Um... I probably arrive across as being very "emo" myself here. Sorry. Open Question: speedos to the waterpark?

hey, i am a 37 year old married dad of 3 (twin boys age 6 and a girl 4), in excellent shape. Growing up in the 80's speedos were not very uncommon here in the US. I guess i never converted over to the shorts like the relax of american men have. We live in a very nice subdivision with several families from Europe. My wife (who moved here from Russia when she was 22) and i always take the kids to the community pool and i always wear a speedo cause it is most comfortable to me and this summer i have seen 5 of the european neighbors wearing the same. My wife has never had a problem with it being from Europe, and no one has really ever cared. Well last weekend i took the boys (cause they are old enough) to a waterpark by myself and was quite surprised that me, my sons, one other guy and his son were the only ones wearing them. I personally have no hang ups about wearing a tiny swimsuit. It is just more practical in my opinion. My question is, are there any other guys out there like me? I did not go on any of the big slides cause the kids aren't old enough, just went on some smaller ones and went to the kids area. every i wore was the speedo for 6 hours. I noticed some young girls and teenage boys do a double take a few times. There were 3 or 4 adult men and women who did the same? Now, were they looking because i was not following the norm, or what? Resolved Question: Girls PLUS SIZE leotards and dance apparel?

I cannot find any plus size girls leotards or dance apparel. Need some help! Anyone know of companies that make them, or stores that sell them? I'm referring to standard GIRL sizes 6-16 in plus sizes. My daughter cannot wear junior, misses, or women's sizes. Standard girl sizes (6-16) are too narrow, or too short for her torso for leotards. She is chubby, so she needs the plus sizes that add the extra length and girth for a little girl. I've found several online stores that offer women's sizes for leotards and dance apparel in plus sizes, I've even found toddler size (2T-6X) chubby leotards. But, this is for a girl who is in between toddlers and juniors. I have a young girl, who is very active in dance, and eager to receive into other activities, that would help with her weight loss, but no companies seem to support that with plus size little girl dance apparel. Voting Question: What can I wear under my white Adidas shorts so it's not see-through?

I was browsing the online American Apparel store and I was curious about their shorts and jeans. Are women with booties, hips, or thighs able to wear that stuff? The "gender lines" of fashion we have grown up with are being eroded away by the exercizing of natural desires. When women use menswear to create more options in their wardrobe, they are making the choice to dress more like men. Lately, men are finding their sense of fashion and wanting more options and many of their choices are coming out of women's wear. There continues to be more fashion creations, sightings, or news stories which are aimed at or that involve males, ranging from the ages of kids to adults, containing information about them wearing girls shoes, women's heels, and other femininely perceived items, like jeans, capri pants, shirts, blouses, tunics, skirts, tights, and etc. The focus of fashion has been directed more towards women for the past couple of centuries and women have made it their playground. Society has condoned the idea of women cross dressing, because they have labeled it made for women. In reality, an item of outer ware really has no gender preference, except that we are told it does. The designing and styling of apparel does take on certain looks, but given the proper sizing and adjustments, the items can be worn by either male or female, as menswear for women has amply demonstrated. To what extent men will want to pick from women's wear depends on each individual according to what they like for their look. It is also well-known that there is a sort of underground movement of males wanting to impersonate women or dress like women. How is this any different then what women have been able to do with society's blessing, yet men are considered to be fetishistic and /or perverted? This masculine venture may be more true to what men are then our societal teachings have tried to make us believe. As I start to understand this concept more, it is obvious the differences between men and women are far less than we have been led to believe. Women seem to want men to be the stereotypical masculine embodiment that society has portrayed to them and men just wants society to let women continue to be who they are. It is time to revamp the social ideal of what men are suppose to be and let them also have the freedom to be who they are. If you need authenticity or verification, go on-line and read some news articles about boys who have wanted to wear female articles of clothing, like a skirt and heels, to school and were denied their right to attend. 2.) There are organizations set up by and for male crossdresser. There are even businesses that have been created to tutor men how to be like women. 3.)The fashion industry uses male models to wear womens apparel on their runways shows. 4.)Women have items in their wardrobes labeled women's that were originally men's only - trousers for example. Of course, as fashion does things, women have different names according to the materials and styles.
